Barbara Hunt
Barbara Hunt was born in Ogden, Utah. Though she was not raised with information
about her Scottish ancestry, once she discovered it, she embraced it. Her earliest ancestors were born in Scottish homes. She descends from the MacNeil’s of Colonsay in the Inner Hebrides of the cost of Scotland. A place that has never had more than eight hundred people living there at one time. Her husband’s clan, the MacPhie’s, also descended from that island.
At least until Clan McDonald kicked them out. For each of the last twelve years, she has
volunteered at the Utah Scottish Festival and Highland Games, the burns suppers, and the
tartan ball. She has proven herself by work and spirit.
Partricia Cowan
She celebrates her Scottish heritage and is a proud member of the Colquhoun Clan.
She has a background in Office Management, Human Resources and Customer
Service. She currently works as an Office Manager for a Nutraceutical Manufacturing
Company. She enjoys working with people. She majored in Psychology at Brigham
Young University.
She enjoys traveling and learning about other cultures. She served an LDS mission in
Spain. And looks forward to an opportunity soon to travel to the lands of her ancestry.
She looks forward to serving as a part of the Utah Scottish Association and is
passionate about being involved in the local Scottish community.
