Ingredients

750g of potatoes

1 swede, around 500g cut into 2cm cubes

1 onion, finely chopped

1 knob of butter

1 dash of milk

salt

black pepper


CLAPSHOT


This is a very easy way to add some Celt to your kitchen.


Place the potatoes, swede (this is a rutabaga) onion and a teaspoon of salt into a large saucepan and cover with water.


Place a lid on top and bring to the boil


Reduce to a simmer and cook for 15–20 minutes until the vegetables are cooked.


Mash with a knob of butter, splash of milk and a very good grinding of black pepper and serve
